Where peptide claims leave question marks

The pharmacy needs a name of its own.

Before agreeing to a plan, ask: “Which pharmacy will prepare or dispense this medicine?” Keep the answer where you can find it.

A moment to think it through.

The idea to question

The care service’s name tells me who made the medicine.

The short answer

In compounding, a pharmacist or doctor prepares your medicine from ingredients. With online care, it may be unclear who made the medicine, warns the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). FDA’s compounding answers

A name you can check is more useful than a badge.

Use the pharmacy’s public record

A state board of pharmacy handles pharmacy licensing. FDA links to the state searches through its BeSafeRx pharmacy lookup. FDA’s pharmacy-record lookup

Compare the exact business name with the record. If a label later shows a different name, ask what changed.

If the relevant state-board search has no listing for the pharmacy, FDA’s advice is to leave that pharmacy alone. FDA’s pharmacy-record lookup

Being in FDA’s records is not approval

A badge saying “FDA registered” tells you the facility has a record with the Food and Drug Administration. That entry is not FDA approval of either the facility or its medicines, under the September 2026 rule. The registration rule

The state pharmacy licence and FDA registration are different records. Ask for the state licence even when a service shows an FDA registration badge. The registration rule

For most states, delivery from a pharmacy across the border calls for a licence or permit in the receiving state. This reflects the September 2026 rules; the local details differ. FDA’s online-pharmacy answers

Ask which permission covers delivery to your state. A badge does not answer that question.
