The idea to question

A polished profile is enough to check the doctor.

The short answer

The public place to check a doctor’s licence is the state medical board. Records can also show discipline, meaning action the board took against that doctor. Medical boards’ consumer information

Find a doctor’s public licence record

  1. Request the name on the doctor’s licence and ask which state issued it.
  2. Open the state-board directory, choose the board that licenses that doctor, and follow its own website link.
  3. Check the result for a current licence, a matching name, and any discipline the board makes public.
  4. Ask the board to clarify a record you cannot match or understand.
